It is located 2.6 km southeast of the Fondue Tower, the southern end of the Giens peninsula, and 9.6 km west of the island of Port-Cros. It forms an arc oriented east-west, with cut edges, 7.5 km long and 3 km wide. Its circumference is about thirty kilometers. The island culminates in the semaphore at 142 m.
