4/12/2021 - Greece / pelion / volos - The Pelion ski center was created on the initiative of the Hellenic Alpine Club of Volos in 1967, when the first cable car began operating. Since 1997, the Société de Développement de Magnesia S.A. (ANEM S.A.) has been responsible for its management. Since 2008, the company Kentavron Oros S.A., which brings together all the local authorities, manages the development and operation of the ski center.
The installation of a cable car (lift) is supported by the regional state in order to connect Chania to the top of the Pelion ski center.
It is one of the first ski centers in Greece, which organized night skiing.
