Sadak Souici / Le Pictorium - Conakry: protesters face police violence - 29/02/2020 - Guinea / Conakry / Conakry - In the districts of Hamdallaye and Bambeto, the cradles of revolts in the suburbs of the capital, police force the demonstrators out of a barricade and exchange stone throws along the "axis of democracy". This is how the demonstrators renamed the Le Prince road, this large avenue which winds through Conakry and its suburbs and on which all the demonstrations take place.
Since mid-October, the capital of Guinea has been living to the rhythm of urban guerrilla scenes between young demonstrators of the National Front for the Defense of the Constitution and the police. They protest against the will of President Alpha Condé to run for a third term by changing the Constitution. At least thirty people have perished in the clashes since the end of 2019
